In this paper I was able to see all the different ways people see objects, and why some objects can be seen culturally significant. Material culture was a big theme they talked about because its very important to people. Some things people find beliefs in and want a actual connection with. They both talk about how the look, texture, and your own perspective of an object can be totally different from another persons. This was telling me that not everyone has the same thought about the same object or same sentimental meaning with the object. Also they talk about how you cant just replace an object that already has cultural material to it. This is because people dont want a replacement of their sentimental object they want the real thing. This is why when comparing this paper to another reading about 3D printing it was easy to see why an object from a printer wouldnt be authentic enough for the average material culture.
